Borough of Enfield Primary Debating Competition – Final Outcome
A big well done to our debating team of Beverley, Joseph, Leo and Sophia-Christine for their brave performance in the finals last week, at which they were required to speak to oppose the motion
“This house would abolish single sex schools”.
Our team had prepared well for the event and put in a sterling effort. However, they were up against stiff opposition from the other three schools – all experienced debaters, particularly from the eventual winners, Bowes Primary School. Congratulations to Bowes for taking first place and also to De Bohun’s debaters who came away as runners up in the group. They have been fantastic representatives for De Bohun in this competition – considering they only began to debate in January – and made a real mark for our school!
