School Council

At De Bohun we have are proud to have pupil representatives that take part in  School Council meetings.  This council is in place so that pupils have a voice and are involved in decisions about the school that affect them.  Through their class representative, all pupils have the opportunity to raise issues, share ideas and take part in discussions that involve all of their classmates in reaching a democratic solution.  Wider issues that arise are discussed further at School Council and this ensures that as many pupil voices as possible are heard.  Pupils at De Bohun know that this is their school and their thoughts and ideas matter.

School Council

What are we doing this year?

The school council representatives are continuing this term and only Year 3 have had class elections  as they are new to  Key stage 2. This half term we have met at socially distanced meetings and had took part in a Zoom meeting with Mr Smart. We have been set the task of creating a Corridor Code which we discussed in class and then brought ideas to our meetings where we created this code.

                CORRIDOR CODE

  •  Line up one behind the other
  • Keep a sensible distance (no touching)
  • Keep to the left hand side
  • WALK around the school
  • Show respect and maintain a quiet voice
  • Face the way you are walking

Key stage two are now creating posters to publicise and remind children about the way we walk around the school. There will be a prize for the best posters in each class.
