We are delighted to advise that our school has been successful in securing a donation from Universal Music UK Sound Foundation (formerly EMI Music Sound Foundation) for the purchase of musical equipment and accessories.
Universal Music UK Sound Foundation is an independent music education charity launched in 1997 to support and improve musical opportunities for schools and young people in the UK and Ireland. It has awarded over £6 million in grants to further these aims since it was founded and the benefits of its grants have reached countless young musicians.
Part of the funding received by De Bohun is being used to purchase two new keyboards and accessories. This means that, from autumn term, our school will be able to offer group keyboard lessons to pupils for the first time. Now is therefore an ideal time to consider enrolling your child for keyboard lessons! A teacher already comes into our school regularly to teach piano and keyboard, we will have keyboards in place for groups of three children to learn together and children can be enrolled for keyboard lessons from Year 2 upwards. Application forms for lessons are available from the school office.
As ever, please contact Miss Conway via the school office if you require further information about signing up your child for instrumental tuition at De Bohun.
