Year 5 Public Speaking Event

On Friday 1st November 2019, Isaac & Ethan of 5ZA and Hanasa & Awezha of 5MP attended a training day for the borough’s primary school Public Speaking Competition held at Bowes Primary School. They practised their Public speaking skills, by creating a speech and presented their speech to the audience. They were resourceful and resilient to stand in front of other pupils and staff members of the Borough of Enfield. Our team is now busy preparing for the semi-finals on 26th November!

Rainbow Coding Workshop

On Wednesday 30th October, Rainbow class attended a coding workshop in the ICT Suite, where they animated a name using Scratch 3. Each letter of the name did something different e.g. change colour.
The second part of the lesson was based on Lego WeDo 2.0, pupils built a Robot using Lego and programmed the robot with code to do different functions.

Year 2 Maths Workshop

On Tuesday 8th October, Year 2 children and teachers ( Mrs Perkinton, Mrs Bricknell and Miss D’Alessio) shared with their parents what we do in Maths. The afternoon was organised by Ms Edwards, the Math lead in DeBohun and Mr Warwick our very knowledgeable maths consultant who began the afternoon by explaining what we need to learn in Year 2 and how parents can help their children in a fun, practical and easily accessible way at home. Parents then spent an hour immersed in practical and challenging activities in the classrooms.
