Poetry Competition for Key Stage 2 pupils

Following on from National Poetry Day earlier this month we are encouraging pupils in junior classes to submit entries to a poetry writing competition being run locally by Barnet Borough Arts Council.  Competitions like this are a great opportunity to experiment and set yourself challenges in your writing.  Winning and commended poems will be published in a prize-winners’ anthology, plus 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded!  Please do discuss this opportunity with your child and encourage them to participate.

3OW Amazon Warehouse Trip

Today, 3OW spent the day at Amazon Warehouse in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Pupils learned and watched the different stages of when a customer orders an item through the Amazon website. Pupils packed their own cardboard boxes with the help of the Amazon Tour Leaders.

VEX IQ October Competition 2019

Some pupils from our robotics team attended a VEX robotics competition on Saturday 5th October at Greig City Academy. Although we didn’t make the final this time around (we were the only primary school to attend and therefore the youngest attendees) the children certainly used their resilience and resourcefulness skills especially as they were up against many established secondary school teams. They worked as a group effectively and adapted to the environment efficiently. Most of all they had lots of fun!
