Rainbow Coding Workshop

On Wednesday 30th October, Rainbow class attended a coding workshop in the ICT Suite, where they animated a name using Scratch 3. Each letter of the name did something different e.g. change colour.
The second part of the lesson was based on Lego WeDo 2.0, pupils built a Robot using Lego and programmed the robot with code to do different functions.

Year 2 Maths Workshop

On Tuesday 8th October, Year 2 children and teachers ( Mrs Perkinton, Mrs Bricknell and Miss D’Alessio) shared with their parents what we do in Maths. The afternoon was organised by Ms Edwards, the Math lead in DeBohun and Mr Warwick our very knowledgeable maths consultant who began the afternoon by explaining what we need to learn in Year 2 and how parents can help their children in a fun, practical and easily accessible way at home. Parents then spent an hour immersed in practical and challenging activities in the classrooms.

Alex of 4KL presented to some of his class, parts of a Laptop. He described the CPU, which is the brains of the laptop and his classmates enjoyed his interactive session. Alex used his resourceful and resilience skills.
