Today’s assembly, Year 1 & 2 pupils discussed the importance of overcoming challenges. Also, pupils debated on Supersize classes in the future.

Golden assembly highlights pupils from Key Stage 1 & 2 who were given Learning to Learn and Merit certificates for their good behaviour and great can-do attitude. ​

Phase Assembly highlights pupils who work hard during the School week.

Today, 3LN spent the day at Amazon Warehouse in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Pupils learned and watched the different stages of when a customer orders an item through the Amazon website. The delivery process involves processing, picking and packing. Pupils packed their own cardboard boxes with the help of the Amazon Tour Leaders.

On Friday, we spent the day re-designing and updating our book corners. Reading is an essential part of our curriculum, and we thread it through everything that we do. We have now made sure that every class has an amazing range of books and a fantastic space to enjoy them!

Following on from National Poetry Day earlier this month we are encouraging pupils in junior classes to submit entries to a poetry writing competition being run locally by Barnet Borough Arts Council.  Competitions like this are a great opportunity to experiment and set yourself challenges in your writing.  Winning and commended poems will be published in a prize-winners’ anthology, plus 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded!  Please do discuss this opportunity with your child and encourage them to participate.
